About Ellie

I was born and raised in Japan and am a native Japanese speaker with 5–6 years of teaching experience. I have taught Japanese through private lessons and Japanese language school instruction, both in person and online. Having learned English myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and enjoy helping students build confidence. I also have experience teaching piano to children and adults of various ages and skill levels. I am passionate about creating a friendly, supportive, and personalized learning experience for every student.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
I believe learning Japanese should be fun, practical, and enjoyable! As a native Japanese speaker born and raised in Japan, I create personalized lessons based on each student's age, level, interests, and goals.

Teaching Methods
I use conversation, games, visual materials, reading, writing, and interactive activities to make learning engaging and effective.

Typical Lesson
Lessons may include a short review, new vocabulary and grammar, conversation practice, and reading or writing activities. Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs.

What Makes Me Different
I have 5–6 years of experience teaching Japanese through private lessons and Japanese language school instruction, both in person and online. I enjoy sharing not only the Japanese language but also Japanese culture and everyday expressions.

Who Are My Lessons For?
Children, teenagers, and adults of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I also welcome heritage learners who want to maintain or improve their Japanese.

My goal is to help every student feel comfortable, confident, and excited about learning Japanese!
