15 years in machine learning across insurance, fintech, banking, legal services and energy. I have built ML functions from zero at three companies, hired and trained many data scientists, and shipped models with direct financial consequences: pricing systems adding hundreds of thousands in revenue, lead scoring, fraud and bot detection, NLP document processing, and modern LLM applications. There is the machine learning you learn from courses, and the machine learning that actually gets deployed and makes money. I teach both, and more importantly I teach the difference.
What we cover depends on you: the mathematical foundations (I have a first-class maths degree and will make the theory click rather than skip it), core algorithms from regression to gradient boosting to neural networks, Python and the modern ML stack, feature engineering, model evaluation done properly, MLOps and deployment, or the interview preparation and portfolio projects that get people hired.
Typical students: career-changers moving into data science, MSc students whose lectures assume too much, software engineers adding ML to their toolkit, and analysts who want to level up from dashboards to models.
