About Rita

Hello! My name is Rita. I am a native speaker of Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hakka Chinese, and I can also teach in French, English, and Spanish. I work as a freelance translator (Chinese–French–English–Cantonese) and an online teacher of Chinese and French. I have over one year of experience teaching Chinese, and I truly enjoy helping students from different cultural backgrounds learn languages with confidence and joy. In my lessons, I can use structured materials such as HSK textbooks, or design customized courses based on your goals—whether you want to improve daily conversation, pronunciation, writing, or cultural understanding. My teaching style is friendly, interactive, and flexible, so you’ll feel comfortable and motivated in every class. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, singing (I’ve been in choirs for 10 years), baking, cooking, photography, and outdoor sports like kayaking, hiking, and climbing. I love meeting people from all over the world and sharing cultural experiences. About the lesson

I have over one year of experience teaching Chinese, mainly working with international learners. For example, I taught my French professors Chinese at university, using structured materials such as the HSK series as well as customized resources adapted to their needs.

In addition, I have 3.5 years of experience teaching French, primarily to Chinese students, helping them improve their speaking, listening, and grammar skills for both academic and practical contexts.

I hold a Putonghua Proficiency Certificate (Level 2, Grade A), which ensures clear and standard Mandarin pronunciation, and a DALF C2 French certificate, proving my advanced mastery of French. These certifications support my ability to provide professional, accurate, and effective language instruction.

My teaching methods are student-centered and flexible: I adapt lessons according to the learner’s goals, whether it is exam preparation, conversational practice, or cultural understanding. I enjoy combining textbooks with real-life examples, role-play, and interactive exercises to keep classes both educational and engaging.
