About Murphy

I was a private tutor teaching a few primary school students with their Chinese and English, and I also worked in an international school assisting teachers delivering Chinese lessons as well. Most of my students enjoyed my class and developed more interests in studying languages. As for my Cantonese, I was born and raised in Guangzhou, which is the origin of Cantonese.

About the lesson

Except for teaching pinyin and some basic grammar knowledge, I will focus more on interactive activities and communication skills, so that my students can use and practice the language in their daily life. Apart from that, since I have a bachelor degree in history, I would like to broaden students horizons by sharing some cultural and historical stories so that they can have a better understanding of the context.

Robin is a super considerate and friendly person. With a fairly good foundation in Mandarin, his pronunciation is amazing. The sensitivity to sound and tones helps him to better grasp the language.
