About Rhianna

Learn Photography From a Working Professional

Photography is more than a passion for me—it has been my profession, my creative language, and my livelihood for more than 14 years.

I’m a professional photographer and artist with extensive experience photographing weddings, portraits, families, events, artists, and destination experiences. My work has taken me into countless environments, lighting situations, and creative challenges, teaching me how to consistently create meaningful images while adapting to whatever is happening in front of the camera.

When you learn with me, you're learning from someone who actively practices photography not simply someone who has studied it.

I bring real-world experience into every lesson, including working with natural and artificial light, directing and posing subjects, navigating unpredictable conditions, composing images quickly, working with clients, editing photographs, and developing a cohesive artistic vision.

But professionalism isn't just about experience. It's also about how you teach.

I create a relaxed, judgment-free environment where students can ask questions, experiment, make mistakes, and build confidence without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated. There is no expectation that you should already know everything—that's exactly what I'm here to help with.

Whether you're holding a camera for the first time or already have years of experience, I'll take your goals seriously and tailor our time together to your individual level, interests, and learning style.

My goal is simple: you should leave every lesson feeling more capable, more inspired, and more excited to pick up your camera.

Photography is a skill you can learn but developing your own creative eye is where the magic happens. That's what I’m here to help you discover.

My Approach as a Tutor

My approach to teaching photography is hands-on, encouraging, and deeply personalized. I don't believe photography is about memorizing a list of camera settings or following rigid rules it’s about learning to see.

With more than 14 years of professional experience as a photographer and artist, I teach both the technical and creative sides of photography. I help students understand their camera, but more importantly, I teach them how to make intentional decisions with it: where to stand, how to use light, how to compose an image, how to direct a subject, and how to create photographs that actually communicate something.

My Teaching Method

I combine explanation with immediate practice. Rather than spending an entire lesson talking about aperture, shutter speed, or ISO, we learn a concept and then put it into practice right away.

Depending on your goals, lessons may include:

• Understanding your specific camera and equipment
• Manual exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
• Composition and developing your photographic eye
• Natural and artificial lighting techniques
• Portraiture, posing, and directing subjects
• Capturing genuine emotion and connection
• Location scouting and working with available light
• Storytelling through photography
• Reviewing and thoughtfully critiquing your photographs
• Editing and understanding how to finish an image

I encourage questions, experimentation, and even mistakes. Some of the most valuable photographic lessons happen when something doesn't work and we figure out why together.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

Every lesson is customized, but a typical session might begin with a short conversation about what you want to accomplish and what you've been struggling with.

We'll then introduce one or two concepts, practice them together, and photograph something in real time. We might spend part of the lesson shooting portraits, exploring light, working on composition, or experimenting with your camera settings.

We'll finish by reviewing the images and discussing what worked, what didn't, and most importantly how you can recognize those opportunities yourself the next time you're shooting.

My goal is for every lesson to leave you with something tangible: a new skill, a stronger understanding of your camera, better photographs, and more confidence.

What Sets Me Apart

I teach photography from the perspective of someone who has spent years photographing real people, real moments, and real environments, not simply studying photography in a classroom.

My professional experience has taught me how to adapt quickly, work with challenging lighting, direct people who aren't accustomed to being photographed, find beauty in imperfect situations, and create meaningful images under pressure.

But perhaps most importantly, I teach students to develop their own eye.

I don't want every student to photograph like me. I want to help you discover what makes your photography uniquely yours.
