I believe the best way to learn photography is by doing, so I combine simple explanations with practical exercises that build confidence and creativity. Whether you're brand new to using a camera or looking to refine your portrait skills, I’ll guide you step by step — breaking down technical settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO into easy-to-understand concepts. We'll also explore natural light, posing techniques, and how to tell a story through your images.
Each lesson typically runs for 60 to 90 minutes and can be held one-on-one, either in person or online. I hold a Diploma in Fine Art and bring over 30 years of real-world experience as a professional photojournalist, having worked across news, sport, editorial, and portraiture. My tutoring is ideal for beginners, teens, adult hobbyists, and anyone looking to develop a stronger creative voice through photography. All you need is curiosity and a camera .
