About Julie

I bring together native-level Russian, fluent English, a TEFL qualification, and extensive professional experience in translation and simultaneous interpretation. Having lived and worked internationally (USA, UK, Russia), I understand cultural nuances as well as language itself. My students benefit from practical, real-world language skills, personalized lessons, and a supportive teaching style focused on building confidence and achieving measurable results. Languages have always been a passion of mine. Alongside teaching, I am a creative and curious person who loves traveling, singing, theater, photography, and painting. I also enjoy learning languages myself, so I understand both the challenges and the rewards of being a student. I am open-minded, friendly, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence at their own pace.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and current level. I focus on building confidence through practical communication while also developing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing skills. Lessons are interactive and engaging, using real-life situations, conversations, exercises, and authentic materials.

A typical lesson lasts 45-60 minutes and includes a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and structured language practice. Beginners receive clear step-by-step guidance, while advanced students can focus on conversation, business communication, exam preparation, or translation skills.

I am TEFL certified and have many years of experience in translation and interpretation, including simultaneous interpreting at conferences, music festivals, business meetings, and international events. I have also translated a wide range of professional and personal documents between Russian and English.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you are learning for travel, work, study, relocation, or personal interest, I will create lessons that help you achieve your goals efficiently and enjoyably.
