Hola hola! I'm a Journalist graduate from Barcelona, currently in Melbourne with a Work and Holiday Visa. I can help you improve your Spanish (if you know some basics), or teach you some if you never tried. I'm bilingual, my native languages are both Spanish and Catalan, and since I've been a kid I've studied English and a bit of French. Having been a language student myself, I know what makes a lesson useful and enjoyable and what doesn't. I always try my best to teach my students in a fun and enjoyable way, to prevent them from feeling bored of disappointed. I always make up day-to-day situations and add different examples to make the lessons more understandable.
I will also adapt the lessons on your main goal: wether it is to be able to learn basic Spanish to travel, something more work-related, or even if you need it to watch some Latin American Soap Opera :)
I am a young journalist graduate from Barcelona. I have different experience teaching: kids in a summercamp in Spain, tutoring teachers in an academy, and more recently, teaching conversational English to a 24 year old Aussie (can give her reference).
We can discuss my rate depending on how much time it would take me to travel there. But also have in consideration that I am planning to move soon, so anywhere near Melbourne or easily reachable by public transport would be okay.

Hobbies and interests
I've travelled quite a lot (around Asia, mostly) and I've met many interesting people and been to many interested places. Living abroad in Denmark, Nepal and now Australia, has made me more flexible and ready to face unexpected events.
I can teach you the Spanish you need, depending on your interests: even if it's for business, travelling, basic conversation...
Núria is a very easy-going, fun teacher. We met in Denmark when we were both exchange students. I had a vague goal of learning another language and she encouraged me to hire her as my Spanish teacher.
She always teaches me practical uses for the language and has tailored the course for my specific needs. Sometimes I feel like I make her explain the same thing again and again but she is always understanding and happy to repeat the explanation.
She has even taken me to a traditional tapas restaurant and encouraged me to order everything in Spanish. It really helped with my confidence and showed me that there are real-life uses for the vocabulary I was learning.
I would recommend Núria as a teacher because she is extremely knowledgeable, energetic and empathetic. I have already learnt so much from her and will continue to recommend her to my friends and family.
