About Luis Angel
Hi, I’m Angel! I’m a native Spanish speaker from Mexico and a qualified teacher with UK QTS. I completed my PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages at Liverpool Hope University, graduating with Merit, and I’ve taught Spanish in UK secondary schools from Year 7 through to GCSE and A-Level.
Before coming to the UK, I also taught English in Mexico, so I know what it feels like to learn and communicate in another language. I’m friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and I love helping people become confident enough to actually enjoy speaking Spanish. Whether you’re learning for exams, work, travel, or simply because you love the language, I’d be very happy to help you get there.

My lessons are friendly, practical and built around you. As a native Spanish speaker from Mexico and a qualified UK teacher, I can help you learn the Spanish people actually use while also explaining the grammar clearly and making it feel manageable.
Whether you’re preparing for GCSE or A-Level, improving your conversation skills, or starting Spanish for the first time, I’ll adapt each lesson to your level, interests and goals. I like to use conversation, games, real-life situations and plenty of encouragement to get you speaking rather than just memorising vocabulary.
Mistakes are welcome in my lessons — they’re how we learn! My aim is for you to finish each session feeling more confident, having learnt something useful, and looking forward to speaking Spanish again.
