About Leonardo
I've been playing chess for the past 10 years. I'm a dark master chess player with a current rating of 2300 on chess.com and 2400 on lichess.
My mastery of chess openings is well established, with a wide variety of openings, including the e4 opening (Italian, Spanish, and Sicilian) and the d4 opening (Queen's Gambit, King's Indian, and London System).
I also have a solid grasp of tactics and strategy in the middle game, including determining weak pieces and squares, and exploiting the opponent's inaccuracies. I also have a very good grasp of the endgame, covering a wide variety of endgames (pawn, queen, knight, bishop, and rook endgames), which will certainly benefit students learning with me.
My achievements during my chess competitions include:
1. Second place in the inter-departmental rapid chess category at the Bandung Institute of Technology
2. Fifth place in the rapid chess category at the 2018 ITB Rapid Chess
3. Third place in the blitz chess category at the Jayakarta JMCC Chess League
4. Third place in the rapid chess category at the Checkarta Opening Competition
5. Fourth place in the 2023 Kontan Chess Championship
6. 7th place out of 160 in the 2025 ITB Rapid Chess Series (concealed information)

This comprehensive and engaging course is designed for both beginners and those with established chess skills. Instruction focuses on each student's unique playing style and patterns, which will undoubtedly vary. There's also extensive analysis of each student's games, which can help improve their chess skills. The course material is tailored to the students' abilities, including opening mastery, chess tactics training (10 tactics per day), strategies for each opening, and endgame theory training, from beginner to advanced.
In addition to student training, the course also focuses on improving both mental and psychological skills during chess play, which will undoubtedly enhance students' decision-making skills in the real world.

My all time favorite chess teacher. Leonardo is a very patient tutor, He explains ideas clearly and focuses on practical improvement. He reviews my games after and gives advice on how to convert winning positions, since I often struggle with checkmating opponents. Highly recommended to try his chess lessons!
