About Ava
Hello! I'm Ava, and I teach Civics and Social Studies to curious young minds aged from around 7-13! I'm passionate about helping kids understand the world around them, from how governments work to global citizenship and why community matters. I hold a Cert IV in Justice Studies and a Cert II in Community Services. I also have Youth Diplomacy experience as well as being a writer in a globally focused research journal, and will be starting my Bachelor's of International Relations and Political Science soon!

My sessions are designed to teach civics, social studies and global studies in a fun but age-appropriate way. Through activity-based and discussion-based as well as informative sessions, we will explore topics like government, fairness, global issues and more with real-world examples, visuals, stories and games. These sessions are most appropriate for children aged 7-13, and each lesson can be tailored to the students' best interests and learning pace. My background in Justice Studies, Youth Diplomacy and upcoming degree in International Relations and Political Science allows me to explain big ideas while keeping them relevant to growing minds!
