About Kelly

Hi! My name is Kelly, I’m a French native speaker from Paris.

I’m passionate about languages, communication, and discovering different cultures. I love sharing my language and helping people feel more comfortable speaking French in real-life situations.

My lessons are designed to be interactive, practical, and beginner-friendly. I don’t want you to spend the whole lesson memorizing grammar rules. Instead, we will listen, read, speak, write, and learn useful vocabulary together.

I will adapt each lesson to your level and your goals, whether you want to start learning French, improve your speaking skills, travel to France, understand everyday French, or simply feel more confident having a conversation.

My goal is simple: help you understand French and, most importantly, help you actually use it.

About the lesson

How the French Class Works

Each French lesson lasts 60 minutes and combines listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking practice.

10 minutes — Reading & Listening
We read a short text together. You will also listen to the text being read aloud to improve your pronunciation and listening comprehension.

20 minutes — Grammar
We study the grammar used in the text. I explain the rules in a simple way and give you examples so you can understand how and when to use them.

️ 10 minutes — Vocabulary & Writing
You will learn 3 new vocabulary words and write sentences using them. This will help you remember and use the new words in real situations.

10 minutes — Everyday Conversation
You will listen to a short, basic conversation in French. Together, we will break it down and identify the everyday expressions and phrases used by French speakers.

10 minutes — Speaking Practice
At the end of the lesson, we will have a short conversation entirely in French. This is your time to practice what you have learned and become more comfortable speaking.

The goal

Every lesson focuses on active listening and real practice.

You will learn new vocabulary, understand new grammar rules, listen to authentic French conversations, and practice speaking French during every class.

The goal is not just to understand French, but to gradually become comfortable using French in real-life situations.

Tips to learn faster :

1. Read in French for 15 minutes a day

You don’t need to read a whole book.

A few pages are enough.

The important thing is to practice regularly, not for a long time.

2. Watch movies and TV shows in French

Start with English subtitles.

When you become more comfortable listening to French, switch to French subtitles.

This is when your listening skills really start to improve.

3. Practice shadowing

Shadowing is a language-learning technique where you repeat what you hear immediately after hearing it.

You act like an echo or a shadow — that’s where the name “shadowing” comes from.

Listen to the words, then repeat them out loud.

It is one of the most effective ways to improve your pronunciation, rhythm, and natural understanding of French.

4. Write in French at the end of each learning session

Write for 10 minutes.

Make it a challenge: set a timer and see what you can write before the time is up.

This is a great way to see your progress.

Over time, you will notice that your most recent texts have more vocabulary, more precise sentences, and more complex grammar than your first texts.
