About Jemima
Hi, I'm Jemima! I'm a friendly tutor based in Preston with an A Level in German. I loved learning German at school and I want to help others feel confident too, not stressed by it.
I recently went through GCSEs and A-Levels myself, so I understand the pressure and how to revise effectively for exams. I'm organised, reliable and I really enjoy seeing students have that "oh, I get it now!" moment.
I'm offering online sessions, so I can help students across the UK.

My lessons are friendly, patient and focused on making German actually make sense! I recently completed my A-Level in German, so I know exactly how stressful GCSE and A-Level exams can feel.
My technique is simple: we go through vocab and grammar (tenses, cases) with lots of practice, exam-style questions and little memory tricks that are useful.
Typical lesson is 1 hour on Zoom - 10 mins recap, 30 mins new topic, 20 mins practise questions/speaking.
I tutor KS3, GCSE and beginners who are just starting. Perfect if you want someone close in age who recently did the exams.

Jemima is an incredible teacher - she takes the time to make sure you’ve got a strong understanding of what you’re learning and is very patient, whilst being approachable and clear. I struggled with some grammar constructs and she taught me how to master them in a clear and simple way that’s helped me no end!
I know Jemima from college, we did German together. She's such a supportive and friendly person a brilliant Superprof! We did revision sessions together before our GCSEs and she was amazing at breaing down difficult grammar like cases and word order into simple steps. She is really patient and makes you feel comfortable asking questions. I recommend Jemima to anyone on Superprof looking for german help because she is encouraging, knows the content really well, and genuinely wants her students to do well.
