About Mariana

I struggled with school when I was a kid due to English not being my first language in addition to teachers not believing in me. However, with time and effort, I was able to discover efficient methods to raise my grades and become a high-achiever.
I am sure I can help motivate students to study and help them understand things better, and this will lead to more confidence in themselves which will only lead to more participation in studying.
As I am still learning A Level Math, I will have all topics of GCSE math fresh in my head yet with a more advanced understanding, which means I can teach the topics in a way that made sense to me and others but with a higher knowledge of it.

About the lesson

I used to be rubbish at math in school, but I was able to discover the best method to finally succeed and actually make math enjoyable for myself. I study maths for A Level, so I am still fresh from GCSEs which means I will have recent and updated tips for future GCSE students. I studied rigorously for my GCSEs to the point where I completed all the past exam papers, which means I have a good idea of which topics are the best to revise and I know which topics come up repeatedly and how to nail the mark scheme. I will be testing the student every session and working at their pace, ensuring that they understand everything. I will also make sure that they use active recall by then making them teach the lesson back to me, so they will have maximum security with their knowledge.

I can help with 7+ and 11+ as I can study what is needed to succeed with their exams and I can mark their essays and work, as well as providing deep feedback.

My fees are £30 per hour for GCSE students, £25 per hour for secondary school students (11-13), and £19 per hour for 7+ and 11+.
