About Louise
I completed my PhD in Astronomy at the University of Sussex in 2025 (had lots of fun studying the evolution of faraway galaxies!). During the PhD, I was a tutor for A level maths modules, and often got involved in science outreach.
Before that, I graduated with an MSci (1st) in Theoretical Physics at UCL in 2020, and worked for a while as an IT auditor. And before that, I was an A level student (4A*s)! I remember the challenges of that time well, and would love to support you in your academic journey.

I help students reach their A Level Maths goals through effective and engaging lessons that focus on building a strong foundation as well as a strong sense of confidence (the two go hand in hand!).
With a background in astrophysics research, I have a deep understanding of maths and physics, and enjoy sharing it in a way that is clear, accessible and exam-focused. My teaching style is highly adaptable to the needs and interests of each student. I believe everyone has a unique way of operating in the world, and so much of learning and getting the grades is really about honouring how you work as a person!
I write on a tablet for online lessons, and sometimes code up visualisations, which can be helpful in developing a better understanding of a topic.
