About Lola
Hi, my name is Lola and I'm a 17 year old student looking to get experience helping young people. I have autism and ADHD making me perfect for the role of tutoring neurodiverse students. I know what it's like to struggle in school and have to miss a lot of the content due to autistic burnout, but if I can get an 8-9 in combined science with only 46% attendance then your child can too. I have had experience with amazing teachers but I have also had to teach myself the GCSE content and I am confident that I can help others too. I'm looking to tutor GCSE students studying combined science. I recently acquired an 8-9 in combined science as someone who struggled in the school system.
I understand everyone works differently, and the school environment can be overwhelming and sometimes not the right fit. This is why my lessons will be customised to my student's individual needs. I offer a completely free 30 minute consultation (online or in person), where I am able to learn about what might be helpful if you choose to go forward with me. In this session you are of course welcome to ask me any questions, as I want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
As an autistic student myself, I have a deep and personal understanding of how a neurodiverse mind might work. Of course everyone is different and no two autistic people are the same but I still believe that my experiences make me more understanding and patient with my students. It is my mission to not only aid my students academically but to also create a judgement-free learning space where they can thrive!
A typical lesson would be an hour and outside school times at a location of your choosing (preferably your home or a public library for optimum learning conditions) as long as it is within SE23 and bordering areas. I travel via public transport.
I also require a parent or guardian to be in the house during the sessions that take place in your home and for them to be easily contactable. This is for both my safety, and my student's.
