About Amin
I know exactly how it feels to struggle with a subject—and how life-changing it can be to finally understand it. When I moved to the UK in Year 9, I had to adapt to a completely new education system. At first, I found it hard to keep up, especially in science and maths. But with time, support, and determination, I managed not just to catch up but to thrive. That experience inspired me to help others who might be in the same position I was. Teaching allows me to give students the kind of support I once needed—breaking things down clearly, encouraging questions, and helping them build real confidence. I believe that with the right guidance, any student can succeed, and I want to be part of that journey.

My Approach to Tutoring I structure each lesson to be engaging, focused, and exam-relevant—perfect for students aiming to boost their confidence and grades in GCSE Maths, Physics, or Chemistry. My Teaching Methodology Each session is structured into three parts: 1) Do Now/ starter ~5 minutes Students begin with one or two quick review questions based on the previous topic or upcoming material. This activates prior knowledge and sets the tone for the lesson. 2. The main Lesson will be around 35–45 minutes I explain key concepts clearly using step-by-step examples and past paper-style questions. Students are encouraged to ask questions at any point. I adjust the pace based on how confident they feel. 3. Mini Quiz Final 10 minutes or so. To consolidate learning, students complete a short test on what we covered that day. I give instant feedback and, optionally, set short practice questions for the next session. Lesson Duration • Typical lesson length: 1 hour My Qualifications & Experience • I’m currently a Year 13 A-Level student studying Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, on track for A/A* grades. • I have strong subject knowledge and a passion for explaining science and maths in a way that makes sense to GCSE students.
