About Larry
Power Systems Professional Electrical Engineer (EE) registered in Oregon & Washington.
Experienced in utility power management, large solar power & small hydropower development; engineering design and construction for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) utilities; power flow and load forecasting; and Integrated Resource Studies planning process. My software skills include Excel, Access Database, PVsyst Solar Project Analysis & SKM Power Flow analysis.
I can help beginning Electrical Engineering students with course material designed around their needs. Or those with careers that need help with Power System design, Power Management, large Solar and small hydropower development, power system analysis, basic concepts, one-line diagrams, etc. (Please note, I don't teach Electronic Engineering).
My experience includes working 20 years for the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in the NW USA; 23 years with the Okanogan Public Utility District in Northern Washington; and a consultant work for 7 years. Currently working on a 127.5 MW Solar Project Development as Project Engineer in charge of Interconnection Request process with BPA and other EE duties.
I'm offering my services as a way to give back for the success I have had with being a Professional Electrical Engineer. However, I'm very selective of the Students I teach with my limited time. My hourly rate may go up based on demand.

Then fulfill those needs and still teach the required curriculum even for difficult concepts. Help struggling students one-on-one if necessary. Use analogies and humor for the difficult concepts.
