About Erin
I take great care to be present with each student in order to foster confidence, relaxation to flow with whatever creative ideas come to mind, and encouragement for unique expression. I believe everyone is creative, it just may take a class or two to understand this about yourself and start to feel the confidence within to be more free with your design, color choices, etc. There are basic techniques and concepts to art, but really it's about taking those basic concepts and making something unique that only you have the ability to create.
I am happy to give more structure to classes if that's what works best for you and I'm also happy to give less structure and more ability to do what comes from your heart.

Art is one of my greatest passions in life, so I approach classes with enthusiasm and encouragement. Please do not feel intimidated by trying something new or doing something for the first time. I'm here to support you and offer classes that make sense for your learning style and interests. My goal with you as a student is to create a comfortable, approachable, and fun environment to spark and inspire more of your creative side to come out.
Also, as a Mindfulness Teacher, I'm happy to incorporate short meditations or simple mindful teachings with the art classes if you'd like. Think of it as a mindful creativity class.
We will begin the class by talking about your specific goal/s or what you'd like to get from our time together. From there you can share what your style is or what you gravitate toward in terms of colors, design, materials, etc. And finally, you will enjoy the majority of the class for creative time because that's what you're here to enjoy!
