My teaching method is to build up a repertoire. Start in C major and Learn instrumentals as well as sing pop songs. Learn at least on C major Classical, Contemporary Jazz, Country, Bluegrass and pop songs of choice. Then move on to G major and follow the cycle of fifths. Right hand technique with either PIMA thumb pick, flat pick. Flat pick and thumb pick coordination of micro and macro strum. Vocals coordinated with your own accompaniment. Familiarise with Chord inversions and alternate voicing. Develop relative pitch understand the function of intervals and discover the harmonic difference of major, minor, dominant7, diminished and augmented.
