I am soon to be a graduate in Languages and Linguistics at Griffith University and have also completed a year of study at La Universidad de Las Américas Puebla.

My key focus is ensuring that my students are on a path to sounding and writing like a native speaker and not like a second-language learner in Spanish.

It's also important to me that I understand your goals and what you would like to achieve in your journey with Spanish.

The ideal learning trajectory that we would like to achieve would be that the student move from the beginner level to the advanced level as quickly and comprehensively as possible so that they have the necessary tools to go out into the Spanish-speaking world or into employment with Spanish requirements.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is taken directly from my learning experiences studying Spanish and Spanish Linguistics in both Mexican and Australian universities.

The content we will tackle will combine both learning Spanish as a second language as well as acquiring the linguistic structures that tie a language together.

Phonetics (making and perceiving sounds) - If we don't understand this we will sound like a tourist!

Grammar (how to construct what we want to say) - if we don't understand this we will sound confusing to others!

Pragmatics (what is meant by what is said) - If we don't understand this we will be the butt of the joke at the office or dinner table or even worse; we will sound rude when we speak!

The lesson content is perfect for the beginner-intermediate level for all ages so that you can progress quickly, become independent and minimise the time you need a tutor!

As a student you will also be provided with the educational resources that I have learned from and also created including textbooks from academics, third-party repositories and a 100,000-word audio-phonetic Spanish-English eDictionary.

Tutoring time is structured into single or multiple 1-hour blocks depending on your schedule.
