About Michael
I am a lawyer based in London. I studied my undergrad and law school in the UK. I have three years of tutoring experience assisting both students and professionals in academic and business English. I am also a fluent Cantonese and Mandarin speaker and can help students from a Chinese background in their native language with learning English.

I take my role as a teacher professionally - you can expect me to have readily prepared for the lesson, adapted to your goals and learning style. I have a supportive attitude as a learner of other languages myself (French and Portuguese).
I take a practical approach with my students. I always ensure that I understand the aims of my students, their background and ability, before recommending a short and more long term lesson plan. I also have a strong ability to listen and understand the concerns of students (and their parents') and enhance lessons to help the student achieve their linguistic potential. I am able to produce monthly reports for students as well as honestly and objectively identify areas of weaknesses, and crucially, the steps and exercises to improve. I provide my students with absolute attention and want to see them succeed.
