About Cerys
I am a student at college studying Performing Arts BTEC level 2. I’ve been in workshops for acting lessons for four years doing short films and auditions. I’ve been in a few theatre performances in and outside of education including placing Juliet in a Romeo and Juliet Ensemble in The Riverfront Theatre. I haven’t had tremendous amounts of experience however I’ve had an agent for a year and have had singing and dance lessons for several years and different occasions. I have a lot of knowledge about the acting industry and have a lot of connections to agents, actors, directors, screenwriters and other acting and performing coaches. If you are a beginner in acting I really do believe I could give you a lot of insight and training.

Depending on what each person needs, I can do acting lessons which involves monologues and duologues where either I or they can pick the monologues or I could pick more suitable plays for people too if they are seeking that advice. This class will also involve acting advice on their overall performance and perfecting their pieces. The other type of class will probably contain advice on the acting industry for beginners. I could give advice on things like acting connections, acting experience and acting skills and how to build these elements up to be a perfect, fully rounded, actor/actress. This class would involve any questions to do with anything of the industry including business, paid work, applications, auditions, self tapes, character development, role types, on set and anything physical or mental health questions are always allowed to be asked by any gender. I only include this last statement as the acting industry is about captivating the emotion of another and hence the acting industry is full of emotion however as it’s also a business it can also be very cold and so physical and mental health needs to be on good check and as beginner actors, experiences in this industry can be mentally and physically challenging and so I would also bring support on that side of things with insecurities of actors and fears.
There isn’t two types of classes, both can be part of the lessons and it can be formal or an informal lesson. Before any classes I do need to prepare by being sent pieces or the main topics that want to be accomplished. Side tracks constantly happen in acting classes so please feel free to go off topics.
