About Theodore

Hi, I'm Theo, a Law and Anthropology graduate from the London School of Economics (LSE). I'm currently working towards qualifying as a commercial solicitor, with plans to complete the SQE and begin my legal career at a commercial law firm.

Outside of my academic and professional interests, I'm passionate about basketball, music production and reading. I also love travelling and enjoy experiencing new cultures, which is one of the reasons I studied anthropology alongside law. I'm naturally curious, enjoy learning new things, and always like to challenge myself both personally and professionally.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so my lessons are tailored to their individual goals, whether that's building confidence, improving exam technique, or aiming for the highest grades!

I begin by identifying a student's strengths and areas for improvement through discussion and targeted questions. From there, each lesson focuses on clear explanations, guided practice, and regular exam-style questions to ensure students not only understand the content but know how to apply it under exam conditions.

For History, I focus on developing analytical thinking, essay structure, source evaluation, and the techniques examiners reward. Together, we'll work on constructing strong arguments and improving written responses alongside mastering the course content.

For Maths, I break down difficult concepts into manageable steps before working through progressively challenging questions. I believe confidence comes through practice, so lessons include plenty of worked examples and opportunities for students to solve problems independently with guidance.

For English Language and Literature, I help students develop close analysis, essay planning, textual interpretation, and effective exam technique.

I also offer LNAT support, focusing on reading comprehension, critical reasoning, essay planning, and the skills required to approach the exam confidently.

Lessons are typically 60-120 minutes depending on the client's needs, the stage of the exam season and affordability :)

I studied Law and Anthropology (Qualifying Law Degree) at London School of Economics (LSE) and achieved strong GCSE and A Level results, including Grade 9 GCSE History, Grade 8 GCSE Maths and English, and A grades in A Level History, Maths and Economics. While I am beginning my professional tutoring journey, I bring recent first-hand experience of succeeding in these exams and understand the strategies that helped me achieve strong results.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A Level students, whether they're aiming to improve a few grades, prepare for exams, or push for top marks :)
