About Allegra

Hello! my name is Allegra and I am a student at the London School of Economics. I grew up between Italy, New York and several other countries, attended the United Nations International School, and speak fluent French, English and Italian. This international background taught me how to learn languages naturally and confidently, and that's what I love passing on to my students.

I'm also a language learner myself, currently studying Japanese and Portuguese, so I understand the challenges my students face and know which techniques really work. Students and parents can count on me to be punctual, well prepared and fully committed to helping every learner succeed.

About the lesson

Bonjour! I'm Allegra, a student at the London School of Economics and a fluent French speaker. I grew up in a multilingual, international environment and have been working as a freelance tutor for three years. I love helping students feel confident and enjoy learning a new language.

My approach :
Every lesson is tailored to the student's level, goals and learning style. I focus on getting students speaking from the very first lesson, as I believe confidence comes from using the language, not just studying it. Lessons combine conversation, vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading, and I use games, songs, stories and visual activities for younger learners to keep things fun. Older students and adults can focus on real-life conversation, exam preparation or specific goals like travel or work. I track progress closely and adapt each lesson as we go.

Lesson length :
Lessons usually last 60 minutes, while younger children often do best with 45-minute sessions. I'm happy to adjust the length depending on the student's needs.

Who the lessons are for :
I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. This includes children starting French for the first time, secondary school students needing support with school or exams, and adults who want to learn or improve their French.
