About Joy
As a mom myself, I know that every child learns at their own pace. My goal is to make sure your child feels safe, confident, and excited to learn in the water. I am committed to providing high-quality, one-on-one instruction for children aged 3 to 8 that is both professional and engaging. To make things as easy and comfortable as possible for your family, I travel directly to your home pool, allowing your child to learn in a familiar, stress-free environment.
You can expect a structured yet playful lesson plan designed to maximize your child's progress. Over my five years as a swim teacher, I've had the privilege of guiding countless children, particularly toddlers, through their first aquatic experiences. My approach is built on patience, positive reinforcement, and making lessons genuinely fun. I look forward to helping your child discover the joy and safety of swimming.

Why Choose Private Lessons?
If you feel stuck in a large swim school with little to no progression, give me a try. Big classes can often feel repetitive, and it’s easy for a child’s specific needs to be missed. In my private lessons, your child gets 100% of my attention, meaning we can move at their pace and overcome hurdles much faster than in a group setting.
My Teaching Philosophy: Fun, Confidence & Individual Progress.
My approach to teaching swimming, especially for toddlers, is centered around building water confidence and fundamental skills through engaging and positive play. I believe that when children are having fun, they are more receptive to learning and develop a lifelong love for the water.
My Teaching Techniques: Learning Through Play: For toddlers, traditional drills can be daunting. Instead, I integrate skills into games, songs, and imaginative play. For example, blowing bubbles becomes breath control, reaching for toys on the step teaches propulsion, and "floating like a starfish" builds back-floating skills. This playful environment makes learning enjoyable and reduces anxiety.

Details
The length of the lessons can be discussed, though they typically run for 30 or 45 minutes. A 30-minute lesson is $65. You may include up to 3 students in a class and split the cost amongst your group (so for a group of 3 children in a 30 minute class it works out less than $22.00 per child).
LTS equipment will be provided.
