About Roy
When I was in high school, I was one of the top students in my Math class. My classmates would often come to me for help when they couldn't understand the teacher. I got lots of positive feedback from them and they told me I should become a teacher -- which I did. I graduated from Monash with a Bachelor's degree in Primary and Secondary Education (Honors). Then I started teaching and gained 3 years of invaluable teaching experience in schools across Melbourne. However, as much as I enjoyed helping students with Math, I soon discovered that my teaching style was far more effective when I could focus on one student at a time. That’s why I’ve chosen tutoring as my way of supporting learners. At the heart of it all, my greatest satisfaction comes from helping students understand Math better—boosting their confidence and easing their stress before tests and exams. That’s what truly matters to me.
