Depending on the objectives of the person, I emphasize my lessons more around the writing or oral skills. Having studied 4 languages, I am convinced the most important part to start a language is to learn how to conjugate verbs as they are the structure of the sentence. Then practicing how to write small essays and learning by heart short texts will anchor these grammatical mechanisms and help you impregnate the language.
