Gabriel is the most versatile and most highly skilled percussionist I’ve ever played with, and, in my 45+ years of being a professional musician, that’s a lot of percussionists! Gabriel is hard-working, dedicated, and a great person to collaborate with as a colleague. He is well-versed in many styles of percussion and is very articulate when it comes to discussing any of them. He goes well beyond merely discussing various styles, he can actually play them, and is very adept at learning new styles that he hasn’t yet had the chance to learn. In addition, and very importantly, he is an extremely reliable and responsible person who is dedicated to his students; anyone who has the opportunity to work with him is very lucky indeed.

I am a percussion student of Gabriel's. We work on a myriad of instruments, though I especially love marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. Weekly lessons are fun, engaging, and consistent. Gabriel is a wonderful teacher and clear communicator.
