About Gene
Hi, I'm Gene! I'm an ex-marketing copywriter with 8+ years experience in the industry.
I can help you develop your marketing strategies, plans and skills as well as support you with your marketing studies.
After studying a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) at the University of South Australia, I worked in marketing for 5+ years in Australia and abroad. This began with working in events and social media, then led to music publicity for the Future Music Festival, and digital campaigns for brands such as L’Oréal and IKEA.
I then went on to start my freelance copywriting business focussing on health and education clients including Bosch, OSIM, NTUC LearningHub, PurelyB and Pop Meals (fka Dahmakan).
I've been fortunate enough to work in some very diverse and entrepreneurial environments, and have learnt a lot from some great people along the way including being mentored by award-winning Singaporean creative director, Noor Aziz.
For the last 8 years, I have also taught over 300 students at the University of South Australia in the areas of marketing planning and career planning.
