About Ariana

I’m a Maths tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. My passion lies in helping students, especially non-STEM majors, see mathematics as a meaningful and approachable subject. I take a holistic approach, aiming to demystify advanced concepts by focusing on the big ideas rather than drowning students in heavy computation. For me, math is less about crunching numbers and more about understanding patterns, logic, and connections to the world around us.
I love using everyday analogies like comparing calculus to filling a glass of water or seeing matrices as social networks to make abstract ideas relatable. Historical stories about mathematicians and their discoveries also find their way into my lessons, adding depth and context to the theories we study.
I take pride in helping those who have struggled with math in the past find clarity and even joy in the subject. My sessions are conversational, interactive, and always tailored to your background and goals. I believe that everyone can appreciate the beauty and universal impact of mathematics when it’s taught with patience and creativity.
