About Neli

Hi, I’m Neli—a qualified Architectural Designer with a Master’s degree and over seven years of professional experience in architecture and interior design. I specialize in AutoCAD 2D and use it daily to produce precise, high-quality drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. My in-depth knowledge of design standards, construction detailing, and documentation processes allows me to teach AutoCAD in a clear, structured, and engaging way. I’m passionate about sharing my skills and helping students, graduates, and professionals gain confidence and proficiency in drafting. My lessons are tailored to suit your level—whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your technical skills—and I provide hands-on guidance using real-world examples and industry-relevant exercises. You’ll learn not just how to use the software, but how to think like a designer. I offer both in-person and online lessons from Melbourne, and I create a supportive, patient learning environment where questions are always welcome. I take pride in delivering high-quality teaching that is practical, efficient, and focused on helping you achieve your goals. Let’s bring your drafting skills to the next level—together.

As an AutoCAD tutor, my goal is to make learning both practical and engaging, tailored to suit your level and goals. Here's how I approach teaching:

Teaching Techniques & Methodology
I use a hands-on, project-based approach, where students learn by doing. I guide you through real-world design tasks—starting from basic drafting to more advanced techniques like layering, block creation, annotations, and layout plotting.
Lessons are fully customised based on your background, whether you're a complete beginner, a university student, or a professional looking to sharpen your skills. I also incorporate screen sharing, step-by-step walkthroughs, shortcuts, and tips I’ve learned from real industry experience to help you work smarter.

️ Typical Lesson Length
Each session is 90 to 120 minutes—long enough to explore a topic in depth, with time for questions and practical exercises.

Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, and I’ve worked for over 6 years in the architecture and interior design field. My industry experience includes producing detailed technical drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using AutoCAD on a daily basis. I also have tutoring experience with students of various levels, both online and in-person.

Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are suitable for:
• High school and university students in design, architecture, or engineering
• Professionals looking to upskill or shift into drafting/design roles
• Beginners with no prior experience who want to learn AutoCAD from the ground up

Whether you're aiming to improve your studies, boost your CV, or just explore a new skill, I’m here to support your learning journey.

Let’s get started!

  • 1) My first experience using a computer/tools I teach

At age 12 I opened Photoshop to retouch our family photos—over 20 years ago now. Even simple fixes felt magical, and that curiosity is what pulled me toward digital design and, later, architecture.
  • 2) The technological evolution that marked me—and the next turning point

The leap from 2D drafting to 3D/parametric modelling and fast visualisation has reshaped how we design. Seeing ideas move from an AutoCAD plan to a Rhino model (and polished in Photoshop) makes learning tangible. The next big shift, in my view, is AI-assisted design—from generative tools in image editing to optimisation in CAD—helping us test more ideas, faster, with better outcomes.
  • 3) My expertise and why it matters

I’m an Architectural & Interior Designer with 7+ years of teaching at university, vocational schools, and in private classes. I teach AutoCAD (precision drafting), Rhino (complex geometry/parametric thinking), and Photoshop (presentation and visual storytelling). These tools are the bridge between ideas and buildable, client-ready outcomes—clear drawings, convincing visuals, and confident design decisions.
  • 4) Role models

Visionaries like Steve Jobs remind me that tools should be both powerful and elegant. I’m equally inspired by designers such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Zaha Hadid, who proved that rigour and imagination can—and should—coexist.
  • 5) For someone who says “IT is too complicated”

Every expert was a beginner. In my classes, I build in practice time during the lesson so students try each step while it’s fresh—this boosts confidence for homework and real projects. We only learn what serves today’s goal, then layer skills gently.
  • 6) Other passions

I’m passionate about anything that blends art and software. I do graphic design as a hobby, explore art galleries, and I’m always learning new digital tools to bring fresh techniques back to my students.
