About Lucille

Hi! I'm Lucille :) I’m a French graduate student at King’s College London, where I study Russian and Eurasian Politics & Economics, with a particular focus on the War in Ukraine. I’m 25 years old and moved to the UK in September to begin my master’s degree. Before that, I lived in Quebec, where I completed my undergraduate studies at McGill University, majoring in Political Science, International Development, and Russian Language. I was born in Paris into a French-speaking family, but I grew up in Russia, Ukraine, and Sweden, which gave me the opportunity to learn multiple languages and immerse myself in different cultures. This international background has shaped my passion for combining language learning with cultural exploration, and I integrate this approach into my teaching to make learning both engaging and meaningful!

I am highly flexible and tailor my lessons to your specific needs! If you're looking for support with French lessons at school, I can enhance your learning by reinforcing the material covered in class and ensuring you have a strong grasp of key concepts to achieve the grades you’re aiming for. If your goal is to improve your spoken French, I offer a fun and immersive approach inspired by how I taught myself English—through engaging content! I select videos or audio materials for you to watch or listen to, and we discuss them entirely in French, helping you build confidence and fluency while also exploring French culture in a natural way. I’m always open to hearing about your specific needs and learning goals, so I can adapt my teaching to suit you best. I also have experience teaching French to migrants from diverse backgrounds, helping them prepare for language certifications required for status in Quebec. This has given me the ability to work with all levels of French learners, regardless of their native language, and to adapt my teaching style accordingly.
