About Me: My Background and Motivation
I am an Aerospace Engineer with a Master's degree from the University of Manchester. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have used advanced Mathematics and Physics daily to design everything from autonomous UAVs to satellite propulsion systems. Because I use these subjects in the real world, I know exactly how to translate textbook theories into practical, easy-to-understand concepts.
My motivation for tutoring is deeply personal. I believe that education and life are a continuous cycle of taking and giving. My own journey was shaped by incredible teachers and mentors who patiently guided me through highly complex subjects. After spending years acquiring high-level technical knowledge, I have this opportunity to give back. As an Aerospace Engineer, my entire profession is based on one core principle: breaking down overwhelmingly complex problems into their simplest, most fundamental concepts. I do not believe in just memorising formulae. I teach my students the basics of critical thinking and engineering logic. Once a student understands the "why" and the "how" at a foundational level, the anxiety around Maths and Physics disappears, and solving the actual exam paper becomes straightforward.
Every student learns differently, but my general lesson structure focuses on building confidence and independence:
Concept Breakdown: We start by stripping away the complicated jargon and looking at the core building blocks of the topic using real-world, practical examples.
Guided Problem Solving: We work through problems together step-by-step, focusing on logical reasoning rather than just finding the right answer.
Exam Strategy: I teach students how to read an examiner's mind, showing them how to approach trick questions and secure maximum marks.
Lesson Length: My standard lessons are 1 hour long. However, for students preparing for imminent exams, I highly recommend 1.5 to 2-hour intensive sessions to allow for deep-focus past paper practice.
