About Christy
Holding a Master of Music from Queensland Conservatorium often intimidates my new students. Usually, the simplest technique is the one most players overlook during their practice.
My 5 years of experience have taught me that music theory, intonation, and bowing technique serve as the bedrock for all classical repertoire. I have instructed 362 students on perfecting spiccato, staccato, and tuning by ear. I enjoy watching a student finally master their scales and arpeggios after weeks of persistence.

Intonation struggles often stop a violinist from performing with confidence. Silence is more valuable than constant playing when you are correcting your own pitch. Because I hold a Master of Music, I provide recorded playback of tricky passages so you can study the nuances during home practice. My methods ensure that bowing technique and classical repertoire become second nature through persistent repetition.
I prioritize technical accuracy while keeping the process grounded in musicality. Working with me means you will hear the difference in your tone immediately. It remains a privilege to guide your progress.
