1. Do you master this language because it is your mother tongue, or because a teacher encouraged you to learn it?
From a young age, I grew up in a house where languages played a leading role. My mother, a Spanish language teacher, spoke only Spanish to me. My father, a Bulgarian language teacher, stuck to Bulgarian. And as the cherry on top, my parents spoke English with each other! As if that wasn’t enough, they also sent me to a language school where I learned Dutch as a native language. This gave me a unique start and an incredible linguistic wealth. I realized how privileged I was, and that’s why it became my mission to give others the same opportunity. That’s why I offer Spanish lessons at an affordable price, with a personal approach and an inexhaustible passion. My lessons don’t stop when the clock signals the end; I prepare them carefully and give each student the attention they deserve. I want to experience this fantastic language journey together with you

When I think of a figure that perfectly reflects Spanish culture, it is Don Quixote. This dreamy, idealistic knight, created by Cervantes, symbolizes the rich imagination and passion of the Spaniards. His famous quote: "The road is better than the inn" reminds us that learning a language is not a race, but an adventure. Just like Don Quixote, I embrace the journey, and I help my students enjoy their language development to the fullest.
3. Why do you think speaking this language can be important (from a school, professional, or personal perspective)?
Spanish is not just a language; it is a key to the world! It is spoken in more than 20 countries and opens doors on a professional, academic, and personal level. Do you want to travel through Latin America? Get a job at an international company? Or simply enjoy Spanish films and music without subtitles? Spanish is one of the richest and most diverse languages that exist. A wonderful example of this is the song "No se puede aprender el español" by two English-speaking singers. In their song, they show how Spanish is full of colorful expressions and regional differences. This makes the language not only fascinating but also a challenge!
4. What is the biggest challenge in learning Spanish?
The most difficult aspect of Spanish? Without a doubt, the many verb conjugations and the different meanings of words depending on the region! My approach is based on proven methods and the qualities of the best Spanish teachers: patience, humor, and a communicative approach. My students learn Spanish by speaking, listening, and applying it in real contexts. No dry grammar, but Spanish as it is really spoken!
5. Tell us an anecdote from your experience as a teacher or student.
When I started teaching 20 years ago, I enthusiastically told a Peruvian student that I love senderismo (hiking in the mountains). His eyes widened in shock, and I didn’t understand why. Until he explained to me that in Peru, senderismo is a term for rebel movements! For a moment, he thought I was a revolutionary instead of an enthusiastic hiker. Since then, I have learned a lot about regional differences in Spanish, and now I make sure my students don’t encounter unexpected misunderstandings!
6. Help us get to know you better, tell us about the trips you have made.
Traveling has shaped my life and my teaching methods. One of my most special experiences was in the Andes, where I taught Spanish to indigenous communities. One day, I suddenly faced an unexpected challenge: a woman in the community had to give birth, but the midwife was unavailable. With remote assistance, I was able to guide her through the delivery. The baby, a beautiful boy, was born healthy, and I was named his godmother! Now, 15 years later, his name is Steven, and he plays every Andean instrument imaginable. For my last birthday, he even composed a song to thank me. I miss him and his mother dearly, and this experience will always stay with me.
