About Alexander
I am in my thirties and hold a bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Oslo. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Computational Science: Physics. I have always enjoyed numbers and problem-solving, particularly understanding why things work rather than simply memorising formulas or procedures.
I am calm and patient, and I enjoy making difficult topics easier to understand. There is no such thing as a stupid question, and if one explanation does not click, I am always happy to try a different approach. I live in Oslo with my 12-year-old cat.

I offer maths tutoring from a basic level through Norwegian upper secondary school courses, including 1P, 2P, 1T, S1, S2, R1 and R2.
We can work on anything from fractions, percentages, exponents and algebra to functions, probability, trigonometry, vectors, differentiation and integration. I can also help with basic Python programming and using Python to solve and explore mathematical problems.
The lessons will be adapted to your current level and what you would like to achieve. We can begin with a simple assessment of what you already understand and which areas you need more help with. From there, we can prepare for a test or exam, work through exercises together, or explore topics you would like to understand more thoroughly.
I am happy to explain both how to solve a problem and why the methods and formulas work. My goal is not only to help you arrive at the correct answer, but also to make maths feel more understandable and less frustrating.
