About Emily

Hey there! I’m Emily. With over a decade in post-production, I’ve built a career editing everything from quick-turn social media spots to large-scale national campaigns. I’ve worked with brands like Whirlpool, Bud Light, Kingsford, Pepsi, Campbell’s, and Huggies to bring campaigns to life. Along the way, I’ve seen the industry from every side — working in professional post-production houses, freelancing independently, and collaborating within agency teams. These days I run my own freelance business, but I’ve always loved mentoring students alongside it. People often ask why I still teach, and the answer is simple: I’ve been in your shoes. I remember sitting at my desk at 2am, ten YouTube tutorials deep, and not one of them answered the actual question I had. I know how isolating it feels when you’re in the middle of a project, completely lost, and wishing someone would just sit next to you in a way that was easy to understand. That’s what I try to be for my students — the person I wish I’d had when I was starting out. Whether you’re opening Premiere Pro for the very first time or you’ve been editing in it for years and want to sharpen your workflow, I work with all skill levels. I’ll meet you exactly where you’re at and help you move forward with confidence. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make learning Premiere Pro clear, approachable, and practical. I want you to feel supported while you build real skills that you can take into your own projects with confidence. Whether you’re chasing a career in post-production or just want to bring your creative ideas to life, I’d love to help you get there.

About the lesson

When I teach, I keep it hands-on and step-by-step. I don’t just tell you to click a button and move on — I’ll explain why you’re doing it, so the concepts actually make sense. My goal is for you to walk away with real skills, not just a list of random shortcuts.

Before our first session, we’ll outline exactly what you want to learn so we can hit the ground running. I like to keep lessons efficient and focused, so every minute we spend together moves you forward.

Premiere Pro can feel overwhelming at first, but with the right step-by-step guidance it quickly starts to make sense — and before long, you’ll be editing with confidence.
