About Dilupa
I am Dilupa, a dressmaker and art and craft person living in Brisbane. I started making clothes as a hobby and found them exceptionally therapeutic and playful. What started as a hobby in 2003, turned into a passion in 2015 and now I am a full-time dressmaker working from my home base workshop. My passion is for dressmaking and creating custom clothing. I specialize in Saree jackets and other traditional South East Asian clothing but offer a variety of other services including dressmaking, alterations, fashion design, accessories and even bead jewelry design. My workshop is a place for people to have fun and express themselves, mindfulness and find a creative outlet that will hopefully aid in bringing people a sense of achievement, fulfillment and joyful experience. Today, our classes run from my own venues in Fitzgibbon. We run lots of different creative classes from Sewing to Beads Jewelry, and lots more. I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I am here to help you explore your inner creativity. LET'S CREATE SOMETHING beautiful together!

In this fun Brisbane Northside workshop, you'll discover the introductory techniques of dressmaking in a hands-on and enjoyable environment. During the class, you'll learn fundamental dressmaking skills and create your own unique piece to take home. If you're new to dressmaking, this workshop is designed for you! A friendly and encouraging atmosphere will help beginners feel comfortable as they explore this creative activity. Throughout the workshop, you'll learn how to design and craft your own garment. You'll gain confidence in your abilities and find immense satisfaction in seeing your creation come to life. By the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with a newfound skill in dressmaking and a personalized piece that you made yourself. This experience will not only unleash your creativity but also provide a relaxing and enjoyable indoor activity. You can join in any of these classes. 1. Beginners class (series - duration is 4 - 6 months) 2. Intermediate class (series - duration is 12+ months.) 3. Project classes (one day or couple of days class.) 4. School holidays class. (running through only school holidays) School students will get discount price (from 7 yrs -16 yrs old)

If you are really keen to learn stitch work, but if you don't have any equipment don't worry. You can use our equipment such as machine, measuring tape, rulers, chalks etc... Also if you can't come to the Dilu Creations place, you can join with us through our online classes.
