Hi! I’m Kelly, a certified elementary teacher with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and current experience teaching 3rd grade. I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence and build strong foundations in reading, writing, spelling, and grammar. My lessons are designed to help students feel confident, supported, and successful in reading, spelling, grammar, and creative writing. As a certified elementary teacher with a Master’s degree and current 3rd-grade classroom experience, I understand how to meet students exactly where they are and help them grow step by step.
I use a structured but engaging approach that combines direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities. I often incorporate visuals, games, and real-life connections to make learning meaningful and fun—not overwhelming. I also use repetition and clear routines to help students truly master skills, not just memorize them.
A typical lesson may include:
• A quick review or warm-up to build confidence
• Explicit teaching of a targeted skill (such as grammar rules, spelling patterns, or reading strategies)
• Guided practice with support
• Independent practice or a short writing activity
• Positive feedback and goal-setting for next time
What sets me apart is my ability to balance strong expectations with a calm, encouraging environment. I know how to keep students engaged while also helping them stay focused and organized—skills that carry over into the classroom. I also tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, whether they need extra support, enrichment, or help building confidence.
