About Brahmdeo
Hi, I’m Brahmdeo! I’m a professional actor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for encouraging young people to believe in themselves.
I hold a BSc from Newcastle University and an MSc in Neuroscience from King’s College London. Before becoming a full-time actor, I also worked in finance, so my career has taken me through several very different environments. This has taught me that intelligence comes in many forms and that people often thrive when information is explained in a way that genuinely connects with them.
As an actor, my credits include Emmerdale, Slow Horses, Enola Holmes 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Bay. I have also won Best Actor at the Rob Knox Film Festival and received a Best Newcomer nomination from I Talk Telly. Acting has given me strong communication skills, confidence and the ability to make ideas engaging—all qualities I bring to my lessons.
Away from work, I’m naturally curious, friendly and someone who genuinely enjoys learning. I still remember the teachers from my childhood who made me feel seen and capable, and I understand how much of a difference the right encouragement can make.
I’m approachable and patient, but I also take my responsibilities seriously. Students and parents can expect me to be reliable, prepared and fully invested in each student’s progress. Whether a student is aiming for a higher grade or simply wants to feel less intimidated by a subject, I want to help them recognise their ability and enjoy the process of learning.

I still remember the great teachers I had as a child. Not only what they taught me, but how they made me feel confident, curious and capable. I truly believe that an inspirational teacher can be life-changing for a young person, and that is the kind of influence I hope to have.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying their strengths, learning style and areas where they need support. I then break difficult topics into clear, manageable steps, using practical examples, guided exercises and exam-style questions. My aim is not simply to provide answers, but to help students understand the reasoning behind them and become confident independent learners.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and combine explanation, practice and feedback. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while keeping each lesson structured and focused on clear progress.
My lessons are aimed primarily at students aged 11–16, including those preparing for GCSE science, maths or English. I can help students strengthen their foundations, improve their grades, prepare for exams and build confidence.
