About Laura
I am a fully qualified tertiary teacher with a Master's in Statistics. I love teaching statistics, my friends all think I'm mad, if I am mad then so be it, I love the order in chaos vibe about them. I have fantastic feedback from my students. I always want my students to be relaxed and never ever be afraid to ask a question no matter how silly it seems. I have an ongoing part-time teaching contract teaching Statistics with SPSS at Swinburne University in the Department of Health Science & Biostatistics, School of Health Sciences. I have done several years doing online tutoring with Open Universities Australia and teaching business statistics in the accounting degree at Holmesglen TAFE and with the University of Canberra for a couple of years. Have a preference for online sessions but there is some flexibility around this. Happy to have a chat to see if you feel I will be any good :) and take it from there.

Laura was a godsend during my Honours year, I wish I'd found her earlier. She offers practical help, and can fit a whole lot into an hour. She explains concepts in an easy to understand manner and offers helpful advice when choosing analyses and reporting styles. I found that I connected with Laura quickly and easily, and was able to address my academic weaknesses in a positive and productive manner. Thanks Laura, I'm sure I will be in touch again when I'm knee deep in my Masters :)
Laura is, without a doubt, the best stats and SPSS tutor. I feel incredibly lucky to have learned from her over the past five years through both undergrad and postgrad psychology. Her expertise shines through in every session, whether she’s breaking down tricky concepts, guiding you through SPSS, or just making stats feel less daunting.
What makes her stand out is that she doesn’t just know statistics, she knows how to teach it. She has a rare ability to take complex ideas and explain them in a way that just clicks, making the numbers actually mean something. Her patience, engagement, and ability to meet me at my level (without judgment!) make every session productive and surprisingly enjoyable.
I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through uni without her. I’ve also recommended her to classmates, and we all agree she’s an absolute lifesaver!
I had one lesson with Laura and she was the only person that has been able to help me with statistics for my Psychology course! She was ready to answer all my questions, made me feel so supported and reminded me that there is no such thing as a silly question. She explained everything very well and had so much patience. I cannot recommend her enough!
Laura has been such a fantastic teacher. She really helped me to wrap my head around many aspects of my studies. Her assistance was invaluable and made my study much more understandable and enjoyable. I cant recommend her enough.
