About Clémence

Hello,
I am a French student in Ireland, and I am thrilled to help students in Ireland with mathematics.
I am currently completing a Master’s in Finance at the University of Limerick as part of a dual degree with Grenoble École de Management.

I hold a French Baccalauréat with a Mathematics specialisation, a Bachelor with an advanced Mathematics specialisation, and I completed a demanding two-year classe préparatoire in France, where mathematics was at the heart of the programme.

I am patient, organised and passionate about explaining things clearly. My goal is to help you understand the logic behind each concept, build your confidence and achieve the results you are aiming for. I take my lessons seriously, so you can expect well-prepared sessions, personalised support and regular feedback on your progress.

I believe maths is easier once you understand the logic behind it. We first make sure the foundations are solid, because most difficulties come from a small gap earlier on. Then we build step by step, at your pace. Lessons are personalised to your level, your goals and your exams.

Techniques and teaching methodology:

- Level check in the first lesson to identify gaps.
- Understanding before memorising: I explain the why behind each rule so you can apply it to any problem.
- Active practice: you solve exercises with my guidance, so you really learn.
- Clear step-by-step reasoning and presentation of solutions, which is essential in exams.
- Exam preparation: past papers, time management and common mistakes.
- A short recap with key formulas and extra exercises after each lesson.

Typical length of a lesson:
-1 hour (a shorter 30-45 minute format is possible for younger students or short sessions).


Who the lessons are for:
Secondary school students. All levels are welcome, including students who feel anxious about maths.
