About Simone

Studying a Masters of Energy at UQ, in my spare time, I teach English as a second language. I have been giving lessons for over one year now and my primary student is a Japanese man who wants to be fluent in English within six months. English is my primary language and I know a small bit of Japanese, Italian and French.

I am adaptable with my classes, depending on the needs of the student. I tend to focus on things that the student enjoys and then structure learning around that.

About the lesson

Depending on the skill level of the student I will structure the lesson accordingly. I have taught lessons weekly for students over the last six years, ranging from slang, business English, reading and writing.

I'm happy to tailor the lesson to your needs. If there is a goal that you have in mind, for example the IELTS then we can work towards that.

If you would like additional homework or home tasks, I can arrange that also.

I have worked with Simone for one year now. When I began working with Simone, my English was not the best. I have felt my confidence grow with her and I enjoy our sessions.

Simone listens to me, helps me pronounce words that I struggle with and asks questions that allow me to change and grow. She regularly checks in to see if I am following along with the lesson.

My favourite thing about lessons with Simone is that I have a choice of different topics to talk about. These are not only normal topics but also things that are not normally spoken about in my country.

Simone makes the lessons fun and they go by quickly and do not feel like a chore.
