About Crystal
I teach 5th grade Math and Science. My students vary from beyond grade level to many levels below. I believe in bridging the gaps as they appear, and understanding the necessity of needing to take a few steps back to go forward. Just knowing the math with me isn’t enough. I teach the why so that my students understand the entire concept and not just motions of the process. Music, prior knowledge and frequent checks for understanding help us gain perspective on our goals for the day, and I use state standards to drive our instruction.
