About Ellen
I am a math and science teacher who enjoys working with children and seeing them succeed. Gaining confidence with math is so important and being in a classroom that moves on before you feel confident can make a student switch off. Unfortunately there is just not enough time in a classroom for each student to gain enough one on one support and the curriculum is jam packed not allowing the time to gain deep knowledge. My job as a tutor is to help navigate the math curriculum and set your child up to succeed and feel good about math learning!

Is math anxiety crippling your child's ability to attempt and succeed? As math is a compounding subject it is important to determine where there are gaps of knowledge, I can help locate the gaps and then assist with building their knowledge. This will increase your child's confidence enabling them to succeed. As a math and science teacher working for over 8 years I have a huge wealth of knowledge and can provide a variety of resources and teaching techniques. I have experience working with neurodivergent children and incorporate specific strategies within our sessions to assist their learning. I can help with grades 5 - 10 in math and science, Essential and General Math (grades 11-12). Sessions are generally 1 hour in person. Location: Local library
