About Melanie
I am a professional trainer and award-winning speaker who has travelled over 43 states and 4 continents engaging students of all ages in both technical and soft skills. As a recovering accountant, published author, and current artist/actress, I have a unique perspective on studying, learning, and test-taking that helps bridge the gap often left by teachers between concepts and individual learning styles. The pandemic took me fully online where I honed my teaching skills and found even more creative, engaging ways to help my students excel. I can help students in math up to pre-calculus, English from beginning readers through college essays, chemistry, biology, and beginning ASL.

Each student has a unique way of easing into a topic, and it is my job to tutor myself out of that very job. I not only help students learn, I help them learn HOW to learn by using a "learn with me" style that empowers and engages the student. We'll use great note taking techniques, images, songs, and even bad jokes to make concepts stick.
