About Harrison
Engaging and enthusiastic teacher. Fantastic at communicating ideas, and identifying learning styles and skills for each individual. Leader within the community, able to excel and motivate. High level of skill in math, science, physics, environmental science, marine biology, computer tech, research skills, laboratory assistance, essay writing, carpentry, electronics, plumbing, metalwork, engineering, agriculture, animal husbandry. Attended school of leadership. Launched a space experiment at 14yo. Published first scientific paper at 18yo regarding Australia's changing climate. Completed all high school math by year 11. Bachelor of Meteorology (Atmospheric and Ocean science) and Geology. Masters of Marine and Antarctic Science with research on Giant Kelp Forests. Also worked as a school camp outdoor instructor, a surf instructor, a martial arts instructor and a SCUBA diving instructor.

I teach through engagement, inclusiveness of students and acceptance of their questions and ideas. We learn much better when we are having fun and asking our own questions.
Hone the basics! Many of us have difficulty with math, science or English, because we haven't nailed the basics. Identifying gaps in basics, and warming up with basics for each lesson gives immediate and long term benefits.
Self-awareness is also extremely beneficial for ones education. This includes understanding how an each individual learns best, what personality type you may have and how this effects different learning environments, what tasks are difficult and tricks or strategies to enable you to make these tasks easier, and a variety of different skills for improved memory, improved performance and having fun whilst doing it.
