About Shakya
I’m an IB Diploma Programme student taking Math AA with a strong background in advanced mathematics. I earned a 5 on AP Calculus, scored 770 on the SAT Math section, and completed Linear Algebra in 11th grade. As a current high school student, I understand the challenges students face in these classes and aim to explain concepts in a clear, patient, and approachable way. I take tutoring seriously and focus on helping students build both confidence and real understanding.

I focus on making difficult math concepts clear, step-by-step, instead of just giving answers. During lessons, I first identify where a student is struggling, explain the concept in a simpler way, work through examples with them, and then let them try similar problems independently. I can tutor students in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and SAT Math. As an IB Math AA student with a 5 on AP Calculus, a 770 SAT Math score, and experience completing Linear Algebra, I understand both challenging coursework and standardized test preparation. My lessons are best for middle school and high school students who want to improve their grades, prepare for exams, or build stronger math skills. I can also teach physics.
