About Maryam
Having worked at Kumon Learning Centre for over 5 years now, I have taught and helped students ages 3-18 in Math & Reading at all levels. Teaching was not only a fulfilling job for me in high school, but it also taught me how to learn! This helped me earn both of my high school diplomas (IB & Alberta) and has gotten me through my first 2 years of my Bachelor of Science in Physiology! As I am transferring to the University of Alberta, I would love to take on students that I can help and mentor to keep doing what I love, even away from home.

I am currently almost done with my 2nd year of my Bachelor of Science in Physiology and have taken all pre-reqs for medicine. I have 2 high school diplomas, both an IB Diploma and an Alberta one. Given this, I have learned that learning starts and ends with asking questions! Whether you are in grade 10 or in your first year of university, I am here to help. While my expertise lies in science-based subjects, I can help with anything from essay writing to calculus. Lessons with me would start with me asking you all about your life and study habits, so we can create a study plan that fits your life and still helps you achieve your goals. Once we have that down, we will meet as often as you need to review topics missed or not understood in class, complete assignments, and prepare for your tests and quizzes! I have worked at Kumon Learning Center for over 5 years now, helping all kinds of students ages 3-18 in Math & Reading, and am looking to help those in need in my field of expertise. She is amazing 10/10. She understands content on levels I cannot comprehend. She uses this executive knowledge to help those succeed as well and it is beyond impressive and helpful. I am a tutor myself, and I really believe she has all the perfect qualities for this job. I attend university with her in a very difficult science program, and she is able to maintain unbelievable grades while working a job (Tutoring at Kumon) AND running a medicine4youth branch with me at our school.
